The Preppy Paintbrush started because of ADHD, hyperfixation, and me deciding I absolutely needed to make a birthday banner 🎉

Somewhere between “this will be cute and easy” and “I should probably start selling these,” things escalated quickly. Naturally, I decided door hangers were next… which meant I bought a jigsaw. Newsflash: me + jigsaw life = absolutely not.

That little adventure led me to Big Bertha—my laser machine and probably one of my better impulsive decisions. I found her on Facebook Marketplace, loaded up a U-Haul trailer, and drove four hours one way to bring her home. From there, the rest is history.

If there’s a custom order thrown my way, I’ll usually take it—from basketballs to the most random door hangers imaginable (yes… even a pickle 🥒). But if I’m not confident I can bring your vision to life the right way, I’ll be honest—because I’m not about to ruin your idea. No way, Jose.

Behind all of this, I also work full-time and am a full-time mama to two very sassy girls who keep life loud, busy, and entertaining. So every order is created somewhere between school schedules, real life chaos, and late-night painting sessions—and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way 💖
